Activity - 1
Major Events of WWII
On your WEEBLY Page:
• Number 1-19
• Select the appropriate word from the box that completes the sentence correctly
• Then underneath you are to create a TIMELINE of events for WWII
• It can be as simple as one event each year from 1936-1945 (A Pass) or you can go all out and add images for multiple events for the TIMELINE.

• You may work with others to get the answers but you NEED TO WORK COLLABORATIVELY
• I expect 3 sentences per answer.
1. Some historians maintain that WWII was an extension or continuation of WWI. List several arguments supporting this idea.
2. Between the two world wars, the free nations of the world followed a policy of appeasement toward Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini and the military leaders of Japan. They gave in to the demands of these leaders in order to prevent a war. Was appeasing these leaders a wise decision on the part of the free world? Why or why not?
3. How do you think Germany, Italy and Japan viewed the appeasing attitude of other nations?
4. The League of Nations was established as a provision of the Treaty of Versailles after WWI. Its purpose was to prevent future wars. Do you think a stronger League of Nations would have prevented WWII? Why or why not?

• You are to find images of each of these leaders (Past Image, Caption with NAME, COUNTRY & SIDE)
• Please add an image of The Big Three (any idea why they are seated?)
• Qs 11 & 12 need to be a paragraph

Glossary WWII
On your WEEBLY:
• Create a Glossary Page
• List all 13 cards
• Provide a definition for each one
• When you are ready for me to ASSESS you – come and see me and I will show you 7 cards and you are to give me a definition of each.

• Include a MAP of the World
• On the map you are select 1 from Sheet A and 2 from Sheet B (or visa versa)
• Give a summary of the events and appropriate images.
